Position Overview:
Aerovate is seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to fill the role of Vice President of Commercial Operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, the VP of Commercial Operations will be responsible for leading the core functions of Market Research and Analytics, Forecasting, Sales and Marketing Operations, and Commercial Learning and Development. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong background in commercial operations, data analytics, and pharmaceutical commercialization. They will also have demonstrated strong leadership skills related to building and developing teams and collaborating with cross functional partners.

Duties and 
Responsibilities:
  • Data Analytics and Insights: Utilize data analytics tools and methodologies to generate actionable insights, trends, and performance metrics related to the market landscape, market dynamics, brand building (positioning, branding, messaging etc.), product performance, and the competitive landscape. Translate data-driven insights into strategic recommendations and initiatives.
  • Data Operations: Lead the buildout of a comprehensive data infrastructure to support the commercialization of AV-101
  • Sales and Marketing Operations: Lead the buildout of a team responsible for promotional materials review, speaker bureau management, conference support, CRM implementation, contests and awards, and company vehicle support.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Lead the sales forecasting process to deliver on detailed short term, medium term, and long term forecasts.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical affairs, market access, and finance, to support our overall business objectives, product launches, promotional activities, and market access initiatives. Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork across the organization.
  • Learning and Development: Partner with sales and marketing leadership to develop and implement sales training programs, tools, and resources to enhance the capabilities, skills, and performance of the sales team. Provide coaching, mentorship, and support to sales representatives and managers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in commercial functions with a focus on commercial operations, analytics, and commercial strategy within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated success in driving performance, process optimization, and revenue growth.
  • Ability to build and develop a strong team of talented individuals who are like minded in our pursuit to serve patients, build a successful brand, and collaborate with the cross functional team.
